We will be in New York next week. Hopefully we will have a day without too much rain. The kids want to take the subway, from TS, into Brooklyn to walk the bridge. Several people have commented that they have gone to Brooklyn, eaten great pizza, delicious ice cream, and then started the walk.

How to get from TS to this pizza and ice cream...and then to the bridge? Anyone?

Again, thanks for all the previous help. We are two days away from leaving for our first NY trip....my daughter is so excited she can%26#39;t stand it.

Is TS Times Square?

On the other Brooklyn Bridge post, it was suggested to take the water taxi from South Street Seaport over to Brooklyn, eat the pizza and the ice cream and then walk back across the bridge.

Anne: Go to the Inside Pages under New York City Overview on the left hand column of this page. Under the ';Things to Do'; catagory is a post for ';Walk the Brooklyn Bridge';. It give excellent directions on how to get to the bridge from various subway stops in Brooklyn! Have a great time! My kids are ages 8, 10 and 12 and love NYC. I am sure yours will too. Moms

If you want to take the subway, rather than the water taxi, to Grimaldi%26#39;s first before walking the Brooklyn Bridge, take the A or the C train from 42nd Street /Eighth Avenue to High Street station in Brooklyn. Use the exit near the back of the train. When you go upstairs, you will be on Cadman Plaza West. Turn so that the street (and the park across the way) are on your right, and the apartments are on your left. Walk forward along Cadman Plaza West -- it will curve down the hill, and change its name to Old Fulton Street. On the right hand side of the street, in the last full block before the river, you will find Grimaldi%26#39;s.
